The role of an IT Business Analyst is crucial in enhancing the quality of IT services and products. As an IT Business Analyst, you will bridge the gap between IT and the business using data analytics to assess processes, determine requirements, and deliver data-driven recommendations to executives and stakeholders. Your focus will be on improving services and identifying opportunities for business process improvement, working alongside key stakeholders and technical teams. In this role, you will analyze how the IT department can better support business needs through innovative information technology solutions. Working with cross-functional teams, you will contribute to the strategic planning, development, and execution of IT projects that align with business goals and strategies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough needs analysis to understand and document business requirements and align with IT solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and IT developers to ensure clear communication of requirements.
• Develop detailed project documentation, including specifications, models, and diagrams to guide project developments.
• Evaluate existing IT systems and business models to recommend strategic improvements.
• Facilitate workshops and focus groups to gather detailed user requirements and feedback.
• Monitor project progress continuously and provide updates to stakeholders and management.
• Ensure compliance with data governance and IT governance standards in the project execution.
• Analyze data trends and prepare insightful reports to aid strategic decision-making.
• Coordinate testing of new technology solutions and validate results before deployment.
• Provide training and guidance to users on new systems and processes to ensure smooth adaptation.
• Support the preparation and management of project budgets and resource allocation.
• Build and manage relationships with external vendors and service providers as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field required.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in IT business analysis preferred.
• Proven ability to analyze complex IT systems and business models effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience in data analysis and visualization tools is highly desirable.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies is an advantage.
