Job Overview And Responsibilities

The Cloud Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for implementation of large scale critical cloud infrastructure projects. They will work with the Principal Cloud Architects to implement core projects on United Private Cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure) and cloud related SaaS and PaaS deliveries. They will also work with our AppDev and DevOps partners to facilitate application migrations to the cloud. The engineer role will need to work with cross functional teams to enable and provide a mature and scalable experience for delivering workloads to the cloud infrastructure. The engineer will follow security and governance best practices and contribute to the Enterprise Architecture standards for cloud.

• Contribute to the design, Implementation and support of cloud infrastructure projects.
• Participate in POC’s on new tools based on based requirements.
• Collaborate with team members and foster a collaborative and innovative environment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (DevOps, Security, DBA, Architects) to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Automate cloud infrastructure deployments and configurations using infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
• Provide technical support and consultation for the United Cloud environment.
• Participate in incident response and incident management in United Cloud environment.
  
  

• Bachelors degree or 4 years of relevant work experience
• 5+ years of experience in Cloud or equivalent Data Center engineering
• AWS Foundational Certification AWS Associate Certification
• Extensive hands-on experience in the design, implementation, and support of cloud infrastructure.
• Proven track record of working alongside architects and cross-functional teams to develop and implement large-scale critical infrastructure projects, ensuring their successful completion.
• In-depth knowledge of widely used AWS services, including but not limited to EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and VPC.
• Skilled in designing and automating activities across multiple AWS services, with a focus on end-to-end implementation.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as AWS CloudFormation and Terraform.
• Expertise in using Boto3 Python API to manage resources across the cloud environment and develop reusable modules based on specific use cases.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, capable of working effectively with architects, developers, and other cross-functional teams.
• Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing technical challenges
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Containers & Workloads: Knowledge of securing Docker, Kubernetes (EKS), and serverless (Lambda) environments.
• Tooling Ecosystem: Hands-on with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Harness), artifact management (Artifactory), and monitoring (Dynatrace, CloudWatch).
• Incident Response: Experience in troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and post-mortem processes in cloud environments.

• Ability to balance leadership responsibilities with hands-on technical work, ensuring high-quality delivery of cloud solutions.
• Hands-on experience with incident management, troubleshooting, and post-mortem processes for production environments.
