Job Description

The role of a Reservation Executive is an essential part of the hospitality industry, primarily responsible for managing bookings and ensuring that rooms are reserved efficiently and effectively. As a Reservation Executive, you will liaise directly with clients, responding to inquiries, making reservations, and helping guests with special requests. Attention to detail is key in ensuring that reservations are processed correctly and that guests are satisfied with their accommodations. This position requires strong communication skills as well as the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. A Reservation Executive must also be adept at using various reservation systems and software to maintain accuracy in booking and records management. Responsibilities

  • Process reservation requests and inquiries received through various communication channels.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of room availability and reservation bookings.
  • Provide detailed information about hotel amenities and services to potential guests.
  • Handle guest requests for special accommodations and ensure correct processing.
  • Communicate effectively with the front desk and housekeeping staff to ensure seamless guest experiences.
  • Manage booking confirmations, cancellations, and modifications as per guest requirements.
  • Assist in resolving guest issues or complaints related to reservations promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures for reservation processes.
  • Utilize hotel reservation systems to manage bookings and track guest preferences.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reservation reports for management review.
  • Monitor reservation systems and handle overbooking situations diplomatically and efficiently.
  • Provide training and support to new team members on reservation procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a reservation or customer service role.
  • Proficiency in hotel reservation software and systems is highly desired.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
  • Flexible schedule, including the ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
