Job Description

The Medical Representative, a critical role in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries, serves as a key link between pharmaceutical companies and healthcare professionals. This position requires engaging with physicians, pharmacists, and other medical and healthcare professionals to introduce them to new products, therapies, or developments offered by the company. The primary goal is to promote and sell the company's products by educating healthcare professionals and ensuring that they understand the benefits and appropriate use of these products. Success in this role is achieved through building strong relationships with medical professionals, demonstrating the benefits and features of the products, and meeting or exceeding sales targets. Moreover, the candidate must possess profound knowledge in pharmaceuticals, exceptional communication skills, and a drive to achieve business growth by fulfilling the needs of healthcare providers and improving patient care.


Responsibilities

  • Engage healthcare professionals in promoting company’s pharmaceutical products and solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with healthcare professionals and decision-makers.
  • Conduct product presentations to healthcare professionals, demonstrating its benefits convincingly.
  • Analyze market trends to identify new business opportunities and growth areas.
  • Achieve assigned sales targets by efficient implementation of marketing strategies.
  • Coordinate with team members to align efforts and meet customer and organizational demands.
  • Stay updated about the latest developments in pharmaceuticals and healthcare regulations.
  • Facilitate product trials and provide adequate follow-up to healthcare professionals.
  • Manage customer inquiries and feedback with professionalism and promptness.
  • Document sales, meetings, and business opportunities to report to management regularly.
  • Develop innovative strategies to grow market share and retain customer loyalty.
  • Adhere to company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards thoroughly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or a related field required.
  • Proven experience as a Medical Representative or similar sales role preferred.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills required for success.
  • Ability to build and sustain relationships with healthcare professionals effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple tasks.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally as required.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve sales targets and drive business growth.
