An IT Project Manager plays a critical role in overseeing and ensuring the successful execution of IT projects within an organization. This position requires a balance of technical knowledge and strong leadership skills to coordinate diverse teams, manage risks, and achieve project objectives. The IT Project Manager is accountable for the entire project lifecycle, from planning through to delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet the desired scope and quality standards. This role requires working closely with stakeholders across departments to align project goals with organizational strategy and negotiate priorities and resources effectively. Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools, along with excellent communication and problem-solving skills, are essential to thrive in this role.

Responsibilities

• Plan, initiate, and manage IT projects to meet organizational goals and objectives.
• Lead cross-functional project teams through all phases of the project lifecycle.
• Develop detailed project plans to track progress and ensure timely completion.
• Communicate status across stakeholders and address project-related questions or concerns.
• Manage the project budget, anticipating costs and tracking expenses to optimize outcomes.
• Identify, assess, and manage risks to mitigate potential project setbacks and disruptions.
• Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and satisfy stakeholder expectations.
• Coordinate with vendors and third-party contractors to ensure alignment with project timelines.
• Implement and promote project management best practices within the organization.
• Facilitate regular project meetings to engage stakeholders and maintain progress visibility.
• Prepare and present project reports and documentation to senior management and stakeholders.
• Advocate on behalf of the project's objectives, ensuring alignment with business strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience in managing IT projects, demonstrating successful project outcomes.
• Strong understanding of both Waterfall and Agile project management methodologies.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide project teams.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, across various stakeholders.
• Experience working with project management tools such as MS Project or Jira.
• Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification is preferred.
