Job Description

As a Finance Associate, you will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of our company. You will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, from preparing financial reports and conducting analyses to maintaining and monitoring financial records. Your keen eye for detail and ability to work with numbers effectively will be essential in helping us maintain financial integrity and support decision-making processes. You'll collaborate closely with other finance professionals and departments to ensure accurate and timely financial data is available for internal and external stakeholders. Your contribution will aid in strategic planning, performance assessment, and in implementing financial policies and procedures to promote business growth and stability.


Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis to support budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Collaborate with various departments to gather and analyze financial data effectively.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
  • Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
  • Monitor and control expenditure against budget allocations, identifying variances.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely financial reporting.
  • Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of financial documents and data.
  • Participate in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and information.
  • Assist with the preparation of income tax returns and other statutory filings.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Provide financial advice and insights to management to aid in decision-making processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a finance or accounting role.
  • Strong proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel applications.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and concisely.
  • Knowledge of statutory financial reporting and tax return preparation procedures.
  • Experience with budget preparation and financial forecasting is advantageous.
  • Capacity for strategic thinking to support business decision-making processes.
  • Certification such as CPA or CFA is a plus, though not required.
