The Bakery Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of a bakery. Responsibilities

  • Perform regular quality checks to meet the bakery's standards and guidelines.
  • Help in decorating cakes and pastries, ensuring they meet aesthetic standards.
  • Operate baking equipment and machinery according to operating instructions.
  • Provide assistance in the setup and take down of bakery displays each day.
  • Assist customers by answering questions about bakery products and offerings.
  • Conduct opening and closing duties as per company protocols and timelines.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations during baking and cooking processes.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve daily bakery operations goals.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a bakery or culinary environment is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations in kitchen settings.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Physical stamina and strength to stand long periods and lift heavy objects.
  • Basic math skills for inventory management and portioning of ingredients.
