Job Description

An Assistant Manager in the Human Resources (HR) department plays a crucial role in supporting and enhancing the overall performance of the HR team. This position typically demands a proactive, detail-oriented individual who can assist in fostering a company culture that encourages strong employee engagement, satisfaction, and productivity. As the Assistant Manager - HR, you will work closely with the HR Manager to develop policies, manage employee relations, and ensure compliance with employment laws. Besides facilitating various HR functions, you will also aid in recruitment processes and employee training programs to build a competent workforce aligned with the organizational goals. Your active participation will contribute significantly to achieving the company's strategic objectives and fostering an inclusive and high-performing workplace.


Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and implementing comprehensive HR policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate recruitment processes, including job postings, resume screening, and interviews.
  • Support the HR Manager in handling employee relations and resolving conflicts professionally.
  • Coordinate and implement employee training and development programs effectively.
  • Manage and maintain employee records ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Assist in conducting performance evaluations and suggesting improvement strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations within the organization.
  • Collaborate with department heads to address HR-related queries and initiatives.
  • Contribute to promoting a positive workplace culture and employee engagement.
  • Participate in strategic HR planning to meet the organization's needs and objectives.
  • Oversee the administration of employee benefit programs and updates.
  • Assist in organizing company events, meetings, and activities as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in a human resources role is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of HR policies, procedures, and employment laws.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to handle various audiences.
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office suite applications.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively with attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and capacity for conflict resolution.
