Job Description

We are seeking a highly meticulous and detail-oriented Payroll Operations Associate to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the company's payroll process, ensuring that all employees are paid accurately and on time. You will handle sensitive payroll data and work to resolve any payroll discrepancies effectively. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, proficiency with payroll software, and an understanding of payroll legislation. You will work closely with various departments to ensure compliance with company policies and government regulations. Your contribution will be pivotal in maintaining the financial integrity of our human resources department, playing a critical role in enhancing employees' satisfaction by safeguarding accurate compensation management.


Responsibilities

  • Process payroll for the organization's employees accurately and on time.
  • Maintain and update payroll-related records and databases periodically.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
  • Collaborate with HR and other departments to resolve payroll discrepancies.
  • Manage employee queries related to payroll and compensation issues effectively.
  • Conduct audits of payroll, benefits, and other related expenses regularly.
  • Prepare and process necessary payroll reports for management review.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of payroll policies and procedures.
  • Ensure reporting and payments are compliant with government reporting requirements.
  • Keep up-to-date with changes in payroll regulations and industry best practices.
  • Support finance operations in reconciling payroll against budget allocations.
  • Assist with the development and optimization of payroll systems and processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience in payroll processing and operations in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite skills.
  • Excellent understanding of current payroll and tax legislation requirements.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and integrity.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to manage employee interactions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines.
  • Familiarity with international payroll processes is considered an advantage.
