staff software engineer

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Software Engineer to join our dynamic team in Bengaluru. In this full-time, on-site role, you will play a key part in developing, testing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions. You will collaborate closely with product managers and UX designers to translate requirements into robust technical implementations, ensuring our products exceed user expectations.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable and efficient server-side applications using Node.js and JavaScript.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and refine product requirements, providing technical insights and solutions.
• Conduct thorough code reviews to uphold high standards of code quality and best practices.
• Implement comprehensive unit testing strategies to ensure the reliability and robustness of software components.
• Monitor and track engineering metrics to optimize the performance and reliability of production systems.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex issues throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes.
  
  

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8-10 years of experience in software development, with strong proficiency and hands-on experience with Node.js and JavaScript on the server side.
• Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms to design efficient software solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Experience with relational databases, particularly MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with major cloud platforms, preferably AWS, for deploying and managing scalable applications.
• Knowledge of Go and Python is a significant advantage.
• Experience in conducting code reviews and fostering a collaborative development environment.
• Proven ability to implement effective unit testing strategies for software components.
