As a IT Engineer at the Band-5, your role will involve leading and managing teams responsible for building, deploying, and maintaining software applications in a fast-paced, agile environment. You will be responsible for driving innovation and excellence in DevOps practices and ensuring that the team is delivering high-quality, reliable solutions that meet business requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide technical consulting to project teams.
Provide timely status updates and proactive communications on issues to the stakeholders and run/participate in Scrum/Kanban meetings within the team.
Engage with global teams to effectively translate customer requirements to project requirements and identify potential solutions that are optimized to operate within the constraints of the product.
Support pre and post-deployment activities.
Monitor and troubleshoot application performance and production issues using tools like SolarWinds, Grafana, Prometheus, and Splunk.
Generate reports related to availability, performance, and capacity bottlenecks at desired intervals as per operational requirements.
Interact with internal teams and external 3rd party vendors to troubleshoot and resolve complex problems.
Works with Security teams to ensure that infrastructure and software systems are properly secured.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Provide technical consulting to project teams.

Able to effectively manage escalations and operate under crisis. Ability to take command of crisis situations.
Supporting pre & post deployment activities.
Driving team to the right direction to avoid late / missing SLA’s in delivering files to the trading partners.
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
Monitor and troubleshoot application performance and production issues, using tools like Grafana, and Splunk.
Daily responsibilities which include IT Infrastructure, OS monitoring & support on heterogeneous infrastructure domains comprising of Server, Storage, Network, Databases.
Generating reports related to availability, performance and capacity bottle necks at desired intervals as per operational requirements.
Logging of incidents and events based on appropriate categories using ServiceNow & JIRA ticketing tool and assigning it to the appropriate stake holders for resolution.
Interact with internal teams and external 3rd party vendors to trouble shoot and resolve complex problems.
Work with security teams to ensure that infrastructure and software systems are properly secured.
Detail understanding on Axway functions.
Experienced in Boomi loads handling and knowledge on Snowflake.
Participate in regular meetings and team calls and provide status updates on projects and tasks.
Handling Batch jobs Monitoring, File Management systems and Trouble shoot it.
Maintain and enhance Knowledge Base articles.
Handle shift alone without any dependencies
Extensive experience working on Windows / Linux Operating systems. Strong knowledge on Shell Scripting, SQL Queries. One should have good knowledge on cloud platform.
Develop Dashboard using Power BI, AWS concepts on EC2, S3, Cloud watch, Lambda.
Troubleshoot malfunctions of enterprise hardware and software applications.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelors degree in relevant field of study and 3+ years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Skills & Qualification:
Bachelors degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in Production/Application support and maintenance projects.
Hands‑on experience in monitoring, supporting, and resolving production issues in middleware environments (Tomcat, JBoss, Apache).
Knowledge of Windows/Unix systems administration.
Familiarity with cloud computing environments such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Timely reporting of status and communication of events for effective decision making by the management.
Willingness to support on call / 24x7 rotations.
Accountable for at least for one Project initiates and resolve showstoppers.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a team environment.
Understanding of security principles and experience with securing infrastructure and applications.
Basic Knowledge on SQL, Boomi/Snowflake, MMS, Power BI and Java is preferrable.
