About The Role

We are looking for a hands on Data Catalog DevOps Professional to operate and continuously improve our global Data Catalog and Data Governance services based on Informatica IDMC / (Cloud Data Governance & Catalog – CDGC).

You ensure that our catalog, lineage, and governance capabilities run reliably, scale with business demand, and help data owners, stewards, and analysts discover, understand, and trust our enterprise data.

You will manage daily operations, metadata onboarding, automation, and platform enhancements, working closely with the IDMC Service Owner and with IT and data teams across the company.

Your Responsibilities

Daily Operations & Platform Management

• Operate and maintain the CDGC platform, including configuration, metadata onboarding, scanners, lineage capture, and template management.
• Own the Secure Agent at the application layer: runtime services, logs, updates, authentication setup, and application level security.
• Coordinate agent related changes with cloud infrastructure teams (VMs, networks, firewall, certificates).
• Monitor operational jobs, troubleshoot issues, and take ownership of 3rd level support.
• Plan and execute application upgrades and change management activities.
  
  

• Configure catalog templates for data dictionaries, domains, glossaries, business datasets, rules, and tagging.
• Manage metadata curation workflows and support data owners and stewards in onboarding new sources.
• Ensure metadata quality, consistency, and alignment with governance guidelines.
• Support domain driven governance practices within a data mesh–oriented environment.
  
  

• Build Python based automations for scans, lineage, monitoring, metadata extraction, and reporting.
• Use REST APIs to automate catalog operations and streamline operational workflows.
• Support SRE practices (SLIs/SLOs, runbooks, incident reviews).
• Integrate CDGC with CI/CD, monitoring, and ITSM processes.
  
  

• Partner with internal IT teams (Data Platform, Integration, Security, Infrastructure).
• Align roadmap, platform improvements, and service standards with the IDMC Service Owner.
• Participate in solution designs and architectural reviews.
• Communicate operational impacts with technical and business stakeholders.
  
  

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of hands on experience with Data Catalog solutions; Informatica CDGC is a strong plus.
• Operational experience with Secure Agent or comparable runtime/application components.
• Strong Python skills for automation.
• Experience working with REST APIs.
• Experience in data management, data governance, or data stewardship.
• Solid understanding of data mesh principles, data governance frameworks, and core data management concepts.
• Background in operational support or help desk environments.
  
  

• Strong grasp of cloud technologies (e.g., REST interfaces, OAuth, VM/OS basics, DB technologies).
• Understanding of metadata models, lineage, enterprise data landscapes, and data flows.
• Confident in working with governance concepts such as business glossaries, policies, classifications, and data domains.
• Analytical, structured, and reliable in operations.
• Customer oriented and comfortable supporting global users.
• Curious, proactive, and able to think end to end across data ecosystems.
• Attention to detail and ability to evaluate the impact of changes before implementation.
• Cooperative team player with a hands on, “can do” attitude.
