A Merchandiser is a crucial part of the retail and supply chain landscape. As a Merchandiser, you will be responsible for planning and developing merchandising strategies that align with the overarching goals of the company. The Merchandiser works closely with the buying and sales teams to create compelling presentations that attract customers and promote brand loyalty. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective merchandising strategies for diverse product categories.
  • Analyze market trends to align merchandise strategies with consumer expectations.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to secure best-in-class deals and pricing.
  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely replenishment.
  • Plan and execute product displays to enhance the shopping experience.
  • Work with sales teams to drive product promotions and in-store demos.
  • Conduct regular store visits to ensure compliance with merchandising standards.
  • Gather and analyze sales data to evaluate the effectiveness of merchandising efforts.
  • Develop strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate favorable terms.
  • Train and guide store staff on merchandising best practices and display standards.
  • Assist in inventory management, including stock counts and reorder levels.
  • Coordinate seasonal product launches and manage promotional rollouts effectively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Merchandiser or in a similar retail-focused role.
  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to forecast sales and trends.
  • Ability to build relationships with vendors and negotiate effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for team collaboration.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
