Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Prepare a wide variety of bakery goods following traditional and innovative recipes.
  • Decorate pastries using different icings and toppings to ensure beautiful presentation.
  • Monitor stocks for baking ingredients and place orders when necessary.
  • Conduct regular checks of all baking equipment and tools for maintenance needs.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace adhering to health and safety guidelines.
  • Assist in creating new crafting recipes, ensuring they meet our quality standards.
  • Supervise and coordinate the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient production.
  • Handle and manage customer orders and ensure timely delivery or pick-up.
  • Train and guide junior or apprentice bakers when required, fostering skill development.
  • Manage inventory and ensure the freshness of all bakery items available for sale.
  • Incorporate customer feedback to enhance taste, texture, or appearance of bakery goods.
  • Adapt the production schedule to meet the demands of peak times efficiently.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Bakery Chef or relevant role in baking.
  • Understanding of different baking techniques and the ability to follow recipes.
  • Creativity in flavor combinations and appearance of products is essential.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines consistently.
  • Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail are required.
  • Excellent communication skills and willingness to collaborate with a team.
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
