Fire Technician

A Fire Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and compliance of facilities with fire safety standards. This position requires a thorough understanding of fire protection systems, including fire alarms, sprinklers, extinguishers, and emergency exit systems. A Fire Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of fire safety equipment in a variety of settings, including commercial, residential, and industrial buildings. They must stay abreast of fire safety codes and regulations and ensure that all systems are fully compliant and operational. Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and tests on fire alarm and suppression systems.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, with additional technical training preferred.
• Certification in fire protection systems or related field is highly desirable.
• Proven experience in installing and maintaining fire safety equipment and systems.
• Thorough knowledge of local, state, and federal fire safety codes and regulations.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with team members and clients.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy equipment and materials.
