The CNC Maintenance Technician is a vital role within our manufacturing team, responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machinery. With keen attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities, the CNC Maintenance Technician plays a pivotal part in maintaining optimal machine functionality, minimizing downtime, and ensuring high production efficiency. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, hands-on experience, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong diagnostic skills, comprehensive knowledge of CNC operations, and a proactive approach to maintenance and repair tasks.


Responsibilities

  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on CNC machinery to reduce downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot CNC machine malfunctions to identify and resolve issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize machine performance and functionality.
  • Maintain an inventory of parts, tools, and supplies necessary for CNC machine maintenance and repairs.
  • Conduct inspections and tests to ensure equipment meets operational standards and safety regulations.
  • Document all maintenance and repair activities for compliance and future reference purposes.
  • Respond swiftly to emergency maintenance requests, minimizing production disruption and equipment damage.
  • Update and maintain maintenance logs, manuals, and technical documentation regularly.
  • Assist in the installation and setup of new CNC equipment, ensuring optimal functionality from implementation.
  • Collaborate with calibration teams to ensure precision and accuracy of CNC machinery operations.
  • Provide training and guidance to machine operators on basic maintenance and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technological advancements in CNC machinery.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in CNC machine maintenance and repair.
  • Strong understanding of CNC machinery, operations, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Proficiency with maintenance and repair tools, both mechanical and electronic.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance challenges.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and other departments efficiently.
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends if required.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to relevant safety protocols and regulations.
