Job Description

The Van Sales cum Merchandiser is a dynamic role that combines the responsibilities of sales and merchandising, ideal for individuals who are energetic, outgoing, and self-motivated. In this position, you will be responsible for driving the sales of our products by ensuring they are attractively and strategically presented in retail locations. You will utilize your understanding of customer preferences and retail trends to maintain appealing displays that attract consumer interest and increase sales. The role requires regular interactions with store personnel to ensure optimal product placement, as well as forming strong relationships with key stakeholders to negotiate product placements and promotional deals. As a Van Sales cum Merchandiser, you will play a critical role in expanding our market presence, driving sales growth, and fostering long-term relationships with our retail partners.


Responsibilities

  • Drive company van to deliver products to assigned retail locations daily.
  • Develop and implement effective merchandising strategies to boost product visibility.
  • Maintain product displays ensuring they are clean, organized, and well-stocked.
  • Establish strong working relationships with store managers and staff.
  • Monitor inventory levels to prevent out-of-stock conditions in assigned locations.
  • Negotiate promotional and secondary product placements with retailers.
  • Collect sales data and generate reports for management to review sales patterns.
  • Identify potential sales opportunities and customer needs to inform future strategies.
  • Handle customer queries and complaints with professionalism and effective resolution.
  • Implement company promotional strategies and monitor their performance and outcomes.
  • Ensure all company policies and safety standards are strictly adhered to during service.
  • Provide feedback and insights to management on competitors’ activities in the market.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional sales training preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in sales or merchandising roles.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently during delivery routes.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management and sales tracking software.
  • Capacity to lift and carry heavy merchandise and product loads when necessary.
