Job Description

The Student Success Officer provides support, guidance, and follow-up services to students to enhance their academic progress, engagement, retention, and overall success through graduation. The position supports the implementation of Student Success Center programs, follows up with students at risk, and coordinates with relevant academic and administrative units to facilitate appropriate support.

Responsibilities

· Provide guidance and support to students and assist them in identifying challenges that may affect their academic success.

· Follow up with students who demonstrate indicators of academic difficulty or declining performance.

· Implement early-alert and intervention procedures in accordance with approved Center programs and policies.

· Develop and monitor individual student support plans in coordination with relevant University units.

· Refer students to appropriate University services and resources, including academic advising, counseling, learning resources, and career services.

· Monitor student progress and maintain regular communication to ensure effective utilization of support services.

· Support the delivery of orientation and transition programs for new students.

· Assist in organizing and delivering workshops, programs, and activities that develop student skills and promote success.

· Coordinate with colleges and faculty members regarding students requiring follow-up or additional support.

· Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student cases, programs, and activities.

· Collect student feedback and data and prepare required periodic reports.

· Contribute to measuring student satisfaction with Center services and identifying opportunities for improvement.

· Support student success surveys, awareness campaigns, and related initiatives.

· Maintain student confidentiality and comply with University policies and procedures.

· Assist in organizing Center events and promoting student participation.

· Monitor appointments, referrals, and follow-up actions and ensure cases are appropriately closed in accordance with established procedures.

· Work collaboratively with the Student Success Center team to achieve the Centers objectives.

· Perform other related duties as assigned by the Director.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Higher Education Administration, Student Affairs, Psychology, Counseling, Management, or a related field. Additional qualifications or training in academic advising or student support services are preferred.

Experience

2–4 years of relevant experience in higher education, student affairs, academic advising, or student support services. Experience in direct student engagement and implementation of student programs and initiatives is preferred.
