Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Staff Nurse to join our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in neonatology, providing high-level care to newborns needing intensive medical attention. Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill and premature newborns in the NICU.
  • Monitor vital signs and assess the health condition of neonates regularly.
  • Administer intravenous fluids, medications, and nutrients as prescribed by neonatologists.
  • Coordinate with physicians, and other healthcare professionals for patient plan of care.
  • Maintain accurate, detailed records of nursing actions and patient assessments.
  • Educate and support parents on their infant's condition and care procedures.
  • Implement safety measures to protect against infection and complications in NICU.
  • Operate and manage medical technology and equipment specialized for neonatal care.
  • Participate in policy formulation and quality improvement initiatives within the unit.
  • Assist in developing care strategies and adapting to changing clinical situations.
  • Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and NICU protocols.
  • Remain current on best practices and advancements in neonatal nursing techniques.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or an equivalent qualification in healthcare.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in neonatal intensive care or related field.
  • Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification and Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Strong critical thinking abilities with excellent problem-solving skills in clinical settings.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to educate and reassure families.
