Job Description

The Senior Specialist in Vendor Operations plays a pivotal role in managing and optimizing vendor relationships and operations within the organization. This position involves overseeing the day-to-day interactions and ensuring that all vendors meet performance and compliance standards, thereby contributing to the company's streamlined operations and overall success. Strong communication skills and strategic thinking are essential as you will serve as a primary contact point between vendors and internal teams. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies for effective management of vendor operations.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations for all vendor activities.
  • Maintain robust communication channels between vendors and internal departments.
  • Analyze vendor performance metrics and provide detailed reports and insights.
  • Coordinate with vendors to address and resolve operational issues proactively.
  • Negotiate contracts and terms of agreements to benefit the company’s interests.
  • Organize vendor onboarding processes including evaluations and background checks.
  • Monitor and evaluate vendor service levels to ensure high-quality performance.
  • Lead efforts to enhance vendor relationship management systems and processes.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities through vendor consolidation and streamlining.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in vendor operations or similar roles.
  • Strong negotiation skills with expertise in contract management and procurement.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a capability to generate actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in vendor management software and other relevant technological tools.
  • Proven track record of managing high-level vendor relationships successfully.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
