We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Orthopedic Surgeon to join a leading healthcare facility in Sharjah, UAE.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in diagnosing, treating, and surgically managing musculoskeletal disorders, orthopedic injuries, fractures, and degenerative joint conditions. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent surgical skills, sound clinical judgment, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered orthopedic care.

Key Responsibilities
      • Provide comprehensive consultation, diagnosis, treatment, and surgical management of musculoskeletal and orthopedic conditions.
      • Diagnose and manage fractures, dislocations, ligament injuries, tendon disorders, joint diseases, and degenerative musculoskeletal conditions.
      • Perform elective and emergency orthopedic surgical procedures within authorized clinical privileges.
      • Conduct fracture fixation, arthroscopy, joint reconstruction, and other orthopedic surgical procedures, according to training and expertise.
      • Evaluate and manage patients with osteoarthritis, sports injuries, traumatic orthopedic conditions, and chronic joint disorders.
      • Provide surgical and non-surgical treatment for upper and lower limb conditions.
      • Manage orthopedic trauma cases, including complex fractures, soft tissue injuries, and post-traumatic complications.
      • Assess patients requiring joint replacement surgery and perform appropriate procedures where trained and credentialed.
      • Interpret relevant diagnostic investigations, including X-rays, CT scans, MRI, and musculoskeletal ultrasound.
      • Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical evaluation, diagnostic findings, and patient requirements.
      • Perform comprehensive pre-operative assessments, surgical planning, informed consent, and post-operative follow-up.
      • Identify and manage post-operative complications, including infections, delayed bone healing, implant-related complications, and joint stiffness.
      • Coordinate rehabilitation and recovery plans in collaboration with physiotherapists and rehabilitation specialists.
      • Provide emergency orthopedic consultations and participate in trauma management when required.
      • Collaborate with rheumatologists, neurologists, radiologists, anesthesiologists, and other multidisciplinary healthcare professionals.
      • Educate patients regarding orthopedic conditions, surgical procedures, treatment options, rehabilitation, and preventive care.
      • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with MOHAP regulations, orthopedic surgical protocols, infection control, and patient-safety standards.
      • Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, teaching, research, and CME activities.
Qualifications
          • MBBS/MD or equivalent recognized medical degree.
          • Recognized postgraduate qualification in Orthopedic Surgery / Orthopedics & Traumatology.
          • Board certification or equivalent recognized specialist qualification.
          • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant post-specialization experience in Orthopedic Surgery is preferred.
          • Strong clinical and surgical experience in managing orthopedic trauma, fractures, joint disorders, and musculoskeletal conditions.
          • Demonstrated competence in fracture fixation, orthopedic trauma procedures, and other relevant surgical interventions.
          • Experience in arthroscopic surgery, joint reconstruction, or joint replacement procedures is highly desirable.
          • Ability to manage emergency and elective orthopedic cases independently within approved clinical privileges.
          • Eligible for MOHAP Specialist Orthopedic Surgery classification/license in Sharjah, subject to applicable UAE PQR qualification and experience requirements.
