We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Specialist Interventional Cardiologist to join a leading healthcare facility in Sharjah, UAE.

The ideal candidate will have advanced expertise in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular diseases through catheter-based interventions, with extensive experience in coronary angiography, percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), and the management of complex cardiac conditions. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent procedural skills, strong clinical judgment, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered cardiovascular care.

Key Responsibilities
      • Provide comprehensive consultation, diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with coronary artery disease and other cardiovascular conditions.
      • Perform diagnostic coronary angiography and cardiac catheterization within authorized clinical privileges.
      • Conduct percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), including coronary angioplasty and stent implantation.
      • Evaluate and manage patients presenting with acute coronary syndromes (ACS), myocardial infarction, and unstable angina.
      • Participate in emergency coronary interventions, including primary PCI for ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI), where facility services permit.
      • Assess and manage patients with complex coronary artery disease requiring advanced interventional treatment.
      • Perform catheter-based cardiovascular procedures using radial or femoral arterial access, as clinically appropriate.
      • Interpret relevant cardiac investigations, including ECG, echocardiography, stress testing, CT coronary angiography, and cardiac catheterization findings.
      • Utilize advanced coronary imaging and physiological assessment techniques, including IVUS, OCT, FFR, and iFR, where appropriately trained and available.
      • Evaluate patients for advanced coronary interventions and coordinate referrals for cardiothoracic surgery when required.
      • Manage peri-procedural complications, including vascular access complications, arrhythmias, bleeding, and hemodynamic instability.
      • Provide comprehensive pre-procedural assessment, informed consent, and post-procedural follow-up.
      • Develop individualized cardiovascular treatment plans based on clinical findings, diagnostic investigations, and evidence-based guidelines.
      • Manage cardiovascular risk factors, including hypertension, dyslipidemia, diabetes, and other conditions associated with coronary artery disease.
      • Collaborate with cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, intensivists, anesthesiologists, and other multidisciplinary healthcare professionals.
      • Educate patients regarding coronary interventions, medication adherence, cardiac rehabilitation, lifestyle modification, and long-term cardiovascular health.
      • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with MOHAP regulations, cardiac catheterization laboratory protocols, radiation safety, and patient-safety standards.
      • Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, research, teaching, and CME activities.
Qualifications
          • MBBS/MD or equivalent recognized medical degree.
          • Recognized postgraduate qualification in Internal Medicine, followed by appropriate subspecialty training in Cardiology.
          • Recognized fellowship or advanced subspecialty training in Interventional Cardiology.
          • Board certification or equivalent recognized specialist qualification.
          • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant post-specialization experience in Cardiology, with substantial experience in interventional cardiology.
          • Demonstrated procedural competence in coronary angiography, PCI, coronary angioplasty, and stent implantation.
          • Strong experience managing acute coronary syndromes and complex coronary artery disease.
          • Experience working in an established Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab).
          • Eligible for MOHAP Specialist Cardiology classification/license in Sharjah, with appropriate interventional cardiology privileges, subject to applicable UAE PQR requirements.
