Job Description

A leading healthcare facility in the UAE is seeking qualified and experienced Specialist / Consultant Pediatricians to join its pediatric department. The successful candidates will provide comprehensive medical care for infants, children, and adolescents, including the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of pediatric illnesses. Candidates with recognized Western qualifications and strong clinical experience are preferred.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions in infants, children, and adolescents.
  • Conduct comprehensive pediatric examinations and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Monitor child growth, development, nutrition, and immunization requirements.
  • Manage common childhood illnesses, infections, and complex pediatric conditions within the scope of practice.
  • Recognize medical emergencies and provide appropriate initial stabilization and treatment.
  • Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging, and other diagnostic investigations.
  • Counsel parents and caregivers on child health, nutrition, preventive care, and developmental milestones.
  • Coordinate with pediatric subspecialists and multidisciplinary healthcare teams when required.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and comply with clinical guidelines and patient safety standards.
  • Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement, and continuing professional development.
  • Recognized medical degree (MBBS, MD, or equivalent).
  • Recognized postgraduate qualification in Pediatrics.
  • For Consultant positions, appropriate advanced specialist qualifications and relevant post-specialization experience.
  • Western qualifications preferred, such as UK CCT/CCST, American Board, Canadian Board, Australian Board, South African Board, or equivalent internationally recognized qualifications.
  • Relevant clinical experience in general pediatrics, including the assessment and management of childhood illnesses.
  • Excellent diagnostic, communication, and interpersonal skills.
