Job Description

The Service Engineer - Electrical (07N25) plays a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of electrical systems and equipment. This professional is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical machinery and systems. Working primarily in the field, the Service Engineer provides critical support to customers by diagnosing problems, providing technical expertise, and implementing effective solutions. This position requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, an ability to troubleshoot and repair issues efficiently, and excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members. The Service Engineer must stay updated on industry trends and technologies to deliver quality service and maintain customer satisfaction.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular maintenance and inspection of electrical systems and equipment.
  • Diagnose system malfunctions and determine appropriate solutions for repair.
  • Install, configure, and test electrical machinery to ensure proper functioning.
  • Provide technical support and training to clients regarding equipment operation.
  • Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints for troubleshooting.
  • Document all maintenance and repair work, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to improve system performance and efficiency.
  • Adhere to safety standards and regulations while performing all job duties.
  • Travel to client sites for on-site service and emergency repair tasks.
  • Assist in developing maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
  • Stay informed about new technologies to enhance service delivery and system improvements.
  • Maintain tools and equipment to ensure they are in optimal working condition.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with electrical systems.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills for effective troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and blueprints.
  • Excellent communication skills for client interaction and technical support.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in electrical engineering.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a field setting.
  • Willingness to travel to various client locations as required by the job.
