Job Description

A Senior Specialist in Electrical Equipment is a crucial part of any organization that relies heavily on electrical systems and machinery. This role demands in-depth expertise in managing, maintaining, and upgrading electrical equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met. The Senior Specialist is responsible for troubleshooting complex issues, guiding junior team members, and collaborating with different departments to implement projects and improvements. The Senior Specialist will also be instrumental in maintaining compliance with industry standards and implementing new technologies in line with company objectives.


Responsibilities

  • Inspect and monitor electrical equipment to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans for electrical systems and equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical equipment issues with minimal downtime.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to design and improve electrical installations.
  • Oversee the installation and integration of new electrical equipment and technologies.
  • Provide expert guidance and training to junior technicians and field operators.
  • Ensure that all electrical systems are aligned with operational specifications and standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities conducted.
  • Stay updated with emerging electrical technologies and industry best practices.
  • Participate in safety audits and risk assessments related to electrical systems.
  • Procure necessary equipment and manage budgets for electrical projects effectively.
  • Lead root cause analysis initiatives to resolve recurring electrical issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field is required.
  • Proven experience of at least 5 years in managing electrical equipment systems.
  • Strong understanding of electrical codes, safety standards, and compliance regulations.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering practical solutions.
  • Experience in leading or managing projects with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly to non-specialists.
  • Proficiency in using electrical diagnostic tools and software applications.
