Job Description

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Risk Management, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Knowledge of ERM frameworks such as ISO 31000 and COSO.
  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written); Arabic is an added advantage.

Experience

  • 2–4 years of experience in risk management, auditing, or compliance—preferably in academia or the public sector.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities Risk Assessment & Monitoring

  • Conduct periodic risk assessments across university departments.
  • Analyze risks related to academic, operational, financial, technological, and compliance areas.
  • Maintain and update the institutional risk register.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of existing controls and recommend improvements.

Risk Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare detailed risk reports, dashboards, and presentations for management and committees.
  • Assist in preparing reports for accreditation bodies and external auditors.
  • Ensure documentation aligns with ERM standards and institutional policies.

Risk Mitigation & Action Planning

  • Support departments in developing risk mitigation plans.
  • Track action items, deadlines, and progress of risk treatments.
  • Assess risk trends and emerging risks affecting higher education institutions.

Coordination & Awareness

  • Work closely with departments to build a risk-aware culture.
  • Facilitate awareness sessions, training workshops, and risk surveys.
  • Support the implementation of business continuity and resilience initiatives.

Other Duties

  • Undertake additional responsibilities and special projects as assigned by management.
