Job Description

The Retail Sales Manager is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a retail store or stores, with a primary focus on maximizing sales and profitability. The Retail Sales Manager plays an integral part in guiding retail teams towards achieving exceptional customer service, optimizing store operations, and ensuring a high level of product presentation. Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily store operations and ensure a smooth, efficient workflow.

  • Hire, train, and supervise retail staff to maximize productivity and performance.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and resolve any complaints promptly.
  • Analyze sales reports to identify trends and forecast future sales figures.
  • Maintain optimal stock levels and manage inventory to reduce shrinkage.
  • Coordinate sales promotions and marketing initiatives to boost store traffic.
  • Ensure the store adheres to health and safety regulations at all times.
  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers and partners.
  • Monitor competitor activities and adjust strategies to remain competitive.
  • Prepare and manage budgets to control expenses and increase profitability.
  • Support and implement corporate policies and procedures within the store.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in retail management with a minimum of three years.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a diverse team.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a strong sales track record.
  • Proficiency in using retail management software and sales tracking tools.
  • Outstanding communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
