Job Description

The Restaurant Supervisor is a pivotal role within our dining establishment, responsible for overseeing the smooth operation of the restaurant floor. This individual must ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by maintaining the quality of service and the dining experience. Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, the Restaurant Supervisor is tasked with supervising staff, resolving customer issues quickly and effectively, and ensuring that operational standards are consistently met. With a strong focus on leadership and communication, the Restaurant Supervisor sets the tone for the restaurant team, fostering a positive environment that encourages high productivity and morale. This role requires someone who is dynamic, detail-oriented, and able to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily restaurant operations to ensure smooth and efficient service.
  • Supervise and guide the restaurant staff to ensure optimal performance.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints and inquiries swiftly and professionally.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards at all times.
  • Monitor staff performance and provide performance feedback and training.
  • Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure timely food preparation and service.
  • Manage inventory and order supplies to maintain adequate stock levels.
  • Assist in planning and executing promotional events and special offers.
  • Prepare and present reports on sales, budget, and staff performance to management.
  • Ensure the restaurant is clean, well-maintained, and visually appealing.
  • Collaborate with the restaurant manager on strategic initiatives and improvements.
  • Handle cash and credit transactions accurately and according to company policies.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a restaurant supervisor or similar leadership role.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • In-depth knowledge of restaurant operations and food safety regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a customer-focused mindset.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Competency in point-of-sale systems and general computer software applications.
