Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Radiation Oncologist to join our dedicated healthcare team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in diagnosing and treating patients with cancer, utilizing advanced radiation therapy techniques to deliver personalized, effective treatment plans. You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest quality of care and support for our patients.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and assess cancer patients for radiation therapy suitability and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Administer and oversee radiation therapy treatments, ensuring patient safety and comfort
  • Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and manage side effects
  • Collaborate with medical oncologists, surgeons, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care
  • Educate patients and families about treatment options, procedures, and potential risks or side effects
  • Maintain thorough documentation and comply with all regulatory standards and protocols
  • Participate in ongoing research and stay current with advancements in radiation oncology practices

Requirements

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
  • Board certification in Radiation Oncology
  • Active and valid medical license to practice
  • Minimum of 5 years clinical experience in radiation oncology preferred
  • Expertise in radiation therapy technologies and treatment planning systems
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare teams
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare setting
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and education
  • Proficiency in English; additional languages are advantageous
