Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Purchasing and Logistics Manager, where you will play a pivotal role in streamlining our supply chain processes and enhancing our purchasing strategies. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire purchasing department, ensuring that necessary materials are procured cost-effectively and delivered in a timely manner. Your strategic insights and negotiation skills will drive efficiencies and foster relationships with suppliers, contributing to the company's bottom line. You will also manage logistics to ensure timely and safe delivery of products, optimizing transportation routes and liaising with distribution centers. In this role, your leadership will be key to maintaining excellent communication and collaboration between internal and external stakeholders, ensuring seamless operations from purchase order to delivery.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee all purchasing activities to ensure cost-effective procurement of materials.
  • Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies to optimize supply chain efficiencies.
  • Manage relationships with key suppliers to ensure service levels and cost adherence.
  • Negotiate contract terms with suppliers, focusing on quality and delivery performance.
  • Coordinate logistics and transportation activities to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Analyze market trends to predict future demand and adjust purchasing strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to forecast inventory needs and management plans.
  • Monitor and report on key performance metrics related to purchasing and logistics functions.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in all procurement activities.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to streamline purchasing and logistics processes.
  • Manage and mentor purchasing and logistics team members to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Oversee the maintenance of accurate records of goods ordered and received.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a purchasing or logistics management role.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful supplier contracts.
  • Proficient in inventory management software and related logistics tools.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed strategic sourcing decisions.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective stakeholder engagement.
