Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Purchase Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in procurement and inventory management, with a strong ability to negotiate and manage supplier relationships. As a Purchase Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing our purchasing department's daily operations, contributing significantly to our company's supply chain strategy. You will ensure that all purchasing processes are conducted efficiently, cost-effectively, and in accordance with our quality standards. An excellent communicator and problem-solver, you will play a crucial role in driving our business forward. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective purchasing strategies and procedures for the organization.
  • Negotiate contracts and prices with suppliers to secure advantageous supply terms.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers for long-term partnership success.
  • Review and assess suppliers' compliance with quality standards and delivery schedules.
  • Monitor the inventory levels to ensure adequate supply without excessive overstocking.
  • Collaborate with other departments to forecast demand and plan procurement activities.
  • Prepare detailed reports on procurement activities, costs, and savings for management review.
  • Implement and manage purchasing software systems for improved data accuracy and efficiency.
  • Assess the risks related to supply continuity and take preventive measures accordingly.
  • Lead a team of purchasing staff, providing guidance and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure compliance with the company's purchasing policies and ethical standards.
  • Identify new sources and opportunities for cost-effective procurement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a purchasing or procurement role required.
  • Proven experience in managing supplier relationships and contract negotiations.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in procurement and inventory software systems.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a strategic mindset.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve company goals.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with experience leading and developing a team.
