Job Description

A Procurement Executive plays a crucial role in ensuring that a company obtains the necessary goods and services required to run its operations efficiently. This position involves managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that purchases are cost-effective and aligned with the company's budget and strategic goals. As a Procurement Executive, you will be responsible for analyzing market trends, identifying potential vendors, and monitoring the quality of goods and services procured. You will also collaborate closely with different departments within the organization to understand their procurement needs and ensure that the supply chain remains uninterrupted. This role demands a proactive approach to problem-solving, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining an eye for detail.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company's objectives.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and potential new suppliers.
  • Negotiate terms and contracts with suppliers to secure cost-effective deals.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with both current and potential vendors.
  • Monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with contract terms and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with different departments to ensure procurement requirements are met timely.
  • Analyze purchasing trends to identify cost saving opportunities and process improvements.
  • Ensure procurement activities are compliant with company policies and legal regulations.
  • Manage procurement budgets and prepare detailed reports on procurement activities.
  • Resolve any procurement-related issues that may arise within the supply chain.
  • Keep abreast of advancements in procurement technology and best practices.
  • Assist in development and maintenance of a supplier evaluation system.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a procurement or supply chain role.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet critical deadlines.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Thorough understanding of supply chain management and procurement processes.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and make data-driven procurement decisions.
