The hospital is dedicated to improving health outcomes, facilitating access to quality care and addressing the unique needs of military personnel, their families, and the broader community in the Northern Emirates.

The Post-Acute Rehabilitation Physiotherapist will provide specialized physiotherapy services to patients admitted to the hospital's post-acute rehabilitation unit. The role involves assessing, planning, and delivering individualized rehabilitation programs to improve patients' mobility, functional independence, and quality of life following acute illness, injury, surgery, or neurological events.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments for patients referred to post-acute rehabilitation services and develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans.
  • Deliver physiotherapy interventions to enhance patients’ strength, balance, mobility, gait, and overall functional independence.
  • Apply specialized rehabilitation techniques, including Neuro-Developmental Treatment (NDT) and Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF), as appropriate.
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and speech therapists, to ensure holistic patient care.
  • Monitor patient progress, evaluate outcomes, and adjust treatment plans in line with clinical findings and patient goals.
  • Educate patients and their families on rehabilitation objectives, mobility strategies, and discharge planning to support continuity of care.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation in accordance with M42 and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and continuous professional development activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Physiotherapy.
  • Valid DOH physiotherapy license/registration.
  • Certification in NDT (Neuro-Developmental Treatment) and PNF (Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in neurological, inpatient, or post-acute rehabilitation settings.
  • Fluent in written and spoken Arabic.
