Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Paediatric Dentist to join our team and provide exceptional dental care to children from infancy through adolescence. As a Paediatric Dentist, you will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing dental health issues in young patients, ensuring their comfort and promoting a positive attitude towards oral hygiene. You will work closely with children, understanding their unique oral health needs, and developing effective treatment plans tailored to their age and specific circumstances. The ideal candidate will be patient, experienced, and possess excellent communication skills to communicate effectively with both children and their parents. Responsibilities

  • Examine, diagnose, and treat dental issues affecting pediatric patients effectively.
  • Develop and implement individualized oral health care plans for each child.
  • Promote good oral hygiene practices to children and their parents or guardians.
  • Administer sedation or anesthesia as needed for dental procedures with safety considerations.
  • Monitor and guide the dental health and development of children over time.
  • Perform routine dental cleanings, fillings, and preventative treatments for children.
  • Provide emergency dental care for children with acute oral health issues.
  • Communicate effectively with parents about their children’s dental health and needs.
  • Maintain patient records accurately, ensuring privacy and compliance with regulations.
  • Stay abreast of advancements in pediatric dentistry practices and treatments.
  • Manage and minimize children’s anxiety and discomfort during dental visits.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers to support comprehensive patient care.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree required.
  • Current license to practice dentistry in the state of employment mandatory.
  • Completion of a surgical residency program in pediatric dentistry required.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with children and parents required.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in a clinical setting necessary.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional when handling anxious or uncooperative children.
  • Commitment to ethical practices and continuous learning in pediatric dentistry.
