Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough dental exams for children, ensuring comprehensive oral health evaluations.
• Diagnose and treat oral diseases in infants, children, and teenagers effectively.
• Provide preventative dental services such as cleanings, fluoride treatments, and sealants.
• Educate patients and parents on proper daily oral hygiene techniques and practices.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for each young patient.
• Utilize behavior management techniques to ensure a positive experience for children.
• Consult with parents to explain treatment options and answer any questions they may have.
• Perform dental surgeries as necessary, including extractions and fillings for decayed teeth.
• Stay updated with the latest dental technologies and paediatric dentistry trends.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and organized workspace complying with health regulations.
• Work collaboratively with dental assistants to deliver quality patient care.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records for routine visits and treatments provided.

Requirements

• Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree required.
• Active state dental license specific to paediatric dentistry eligibility.
• Completion of a pediatric dentistry residency program from an accredited institution.
• Proven experience working with children in a dental setting is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with young patients and families.
• Ability to stay calm and patient with children to manage dental anxiety.
• Commitment to ongoing education in the field of pediatric dentistry.
• Strong attention to detail and high standards for quality care delivery.
• Capacity to work both independently and within a collaborative team environment.
