Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Paediatric Dentist to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to providing excellent dental care to children from infancy through adolescence. This role requires a professional with the ability to manage young patients with a gentle touch and an understanding demeanor. As a Paediatric Dentist, you will play a critical role in promoting oral health and creating positive dental experiences for children and their families. The candidate should be proficient in preventive and restorative dental treatments specifically tailored for pediatric patients. Your expertise will contribute significantly to the healthy development of children’s teeth, ensuring they grow into confident young adults with beautiful, healthy smiles.


Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive dental care tailored to the needs of infants, children, and adolescents.
  • Diagnose and treat dental conditions such as tooth decay, gum diseases, and dental injuries.
  • Perform regular dental cleanings, fluoride treatments, and other preventive dental care.
  • Educate children and parents on proper oral hygiene practices and habits.
  • Develop treatment plans that address the needs of individual patients.
  • Manage patient anxiety and behavior using appropriate techniques and methods.
  • Collaborate with dental hygienists and other dental professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Keep detailed records of patient progress and dental treatment history.
  • Stay updated on the latest developments in pediatric dentistry and child health.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the dental setting.
  • Promote a positive, supportive, and engaging environment for pediatric dental care.
  • Communicate effectively with parents about their child's oral health status and treatment options.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree required.
  • Valid dental license and pediatric dentistry certification must be current and valid.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in pediatric dentistry or related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, particularly with children and parents.
  • Ability to manage and calm anxious or fearful pediatric patients effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make accurate clinical decisions.
  • Commitment to continuing education in pediatric dentistry and child psychology.
