Job Description

As a Medical Representative, you will act as a critical liaison between pharmaceutical and medical products companies and healthcare professionals. Your primary role is to promote and sell the company's products, which include pharmaceutical drugs and medical devices, to a wide range of healthcare professionals, including general practitioners, specialists, and pharmacists. The role requires excellent product knowledge, sales expertise, and a deep understanding of the medical field to effectively communicate the benefits and uses of the products. You will need to develop strong relationships with medical staff, provide product demonstrations, and deliver presentations. This role often requires travel to visit clients and attend various trade exhibitions and medical conferences.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to attract new healthcare clients and maintain existing accounts.
  • Generate demand for the company's products through effective communication with healthcare professionals.
  • Provide product knowledge and training to healthcare staff to ensure proper product usage.
  • Interact with doctors, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to promote product value.
  • Monitor competitors’ activity and market conditions to align sales strategies accordingly.
  • Coordinate orders and deliver supplies timely to ensure product availability for healthcare facilities.
  • Attend and participate in meetings, conferences, and exhibitions to expand professional and industry knowledge.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, customer interactions, and contacts data.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to adjust promotional plans as needed based on customer feedback.
  • Attend and provide input at team meetings to assist in the development of strategies and ideas.
  • Manage and resolve customer queries and complaints to maintain client satisfaction and trust.
  • Plan and execute marketing strategies to meet business goals and sales targets consistently.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in sales, preferably in pharmaceuticals or healthcare.
  • Strong ability to grasp technical knowledge related to pharmaceutical products and medical devices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build client relationships effectively.
  • High level of self-motivation and the ability to work independently to meet targets.
  • Willingness to travel frequently for client visits and industry events as required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with using CRM software tools.
