Job Description

A Medical Representative plays a crucial role in the pharmaceutical industry by acting as the primary point of contact between healthcare professionals and the company they represent. Their main objective is to promote pharmaceutical products and increase awareness about their benefits among doctors, hospitals, and other medical establishments. Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals and stakeholders.
  • Deliver product presentations, detailing the benefits and scientific facts to healthcare providers.
  • Achieve sales targets and objectives set by the company within assigned territories.
  • Conduct market research to ensure competitiveness and understand industry trends.
  • Organize and attend various conferences, medical meetings, and promotional events.
  • Provide timely reports and feedback to the company on sales activities and results.
  • Ensure accurate distribution of promotional and informational materials to medical professionals.
  • Coordinate with the sales team and assist in the overall sales strategy formulation.
  • Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and strategies to stay ahead in the market.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies during sales activities.
  • Educate and inform healthcare professionals through continual product knowledge updates.
  • Build and maintain detailed customer profiles and records for future reference.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or a related field is required.
  • Proven experience as a Medical Representative or in a sales role is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology and pharmaceutical products is essential.
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal communication skills required.
  • Self-motivated and result-oriented with the ability to achieve sales targets.
  • Willingness to travel extensively to meet with healthcare professionals and attend events.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is mandatory for this position.
