We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Draftsman to join our innovative engineering team. The candidate will play a crucial role in the design phase of various engineering projects by creating detailed technical drawings that adhere to specified engineering standards. The Mechanical Draftsman is expected to possess extensive knowledge in mechanical design and drafting, along with proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software. The ideal candidate will work closely with engineers and architects to ensure accurate designs that are practical and aligned with overall project objectives. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work within often tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed mechanical drawings from sketches, specifications, and calculations provided by engineers.
• Collaborate with engineers and architects to ensure that design specifications are accurately interpreted.
• Utilize CAD software to produce mechanical drawings for components and assemblies.
• Revise drawings and layouts to accommodate changes and enhancements as requested by engineers.
• Maintain updated records of all design documentation and project files consistently.
• Ensure all drafted designs meet industry, client, and regulatory standards and regulations.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure accuracy and conformity to established specifications.
• Participate in project meetings and provide drafting expertise and technical support.
• Work with the fabrication team to refine and improve designs for manufacturability.
• Keeping up-to-date with the latest developments in drafting tools and technologies.
• Assist in the preparation of project estimation schedules and material take-offs.
• Work proactively to identify any potential issues or conflicts in designs.

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical drafting or a related role.
• Strong proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent.
• Thorough understanding of mechanical engineering principles and concepts.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce precise and accurate drawings.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for effective teamwork.
• Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines and handle multiple projects.
