The Manager AQAA advances AUS’s academic quality assurance by combining expertise in assessment and accreditation with the effective use of technology. The role supports program review, accreditation readiness, and compliance monitoring, while developing data-driven solutions and digital practices that strengthen learning outcomes assessment, support evidence-based decision-making, and promote continuous improvement across the university and academic programs.

Job Responsibilities

  • Act as a key liaison between the Office of Academic Quality Assurance & Accreditation and assigned colleges, ensuring effective coordination of accreditation and quality assurance activities.
  • Coordinate the submission of data for the CAA Outcome-Based Evaluation Framework (OBEF) across all academic programs and institutional licensure requirements.
  • Develop and generate regular analytical reports on quality indicators and KPIs, including those aligned with OBEF requirements.
  • Lead collaboration with colleges and stakeholders to design, implement, and monitor corrective action plans within the OBEF framework, ensuring a closed-loop approach to continuous institutional improvement.
  • Review and validate all evidence submitted by colleges and stakeholders across all OBEF indicators and institutional licensure requirements for CAA reporting, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and full compliance with requirements.
  • Oversee the design, coordination, and reporting of Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs) and Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs) assessments, ensuring alignment with accreditation standards and institutional effectiveness.
  • Support the preparation of institutional and program-level accreditation and licensure reports for the CAA and international accrediting bodies.
  • Conduct periodic data audits to ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of institutional data.
  • Ensure academic programs are aligned with institutional policies, QFEmirates, and CAA standards.
  • Provide training, guidance, and technical support to faculty and staff on assessment practices and academic quality systems.
  • Serve as a focal point for collaboration with IT in developing technology-enabled solutions and advanced analytics to support predictive insights and benchmarking.
  • Monitor global trends and best practices in quality assurance, assessment, and educational technologies, recommending innovations to enhance institutional effectiveness and long-term strategy.

Required Qualifications, Experience And Skills

  • Master’s degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Educational Technology, or a related discipline required; a doctoral degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in higher education, preferably in academic quality assurance, or institutional research.
  • Experience supporting academic accreditation processes or program assessment cycles.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead process improvement and digital transformation in academic and administrative contexts.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing assessment and accreditation-related data.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and build collaboration between academic units and technical teams.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented mindset, with the ability to support innovation and continuous improvement in academic quality processes.
  • Proficiency in developing and applying data analysis techniques to support academic quality assurance and accreditation.
  • Experience with digital tools and platforms for assessment, reporting, and dashboard development; familiarity with emerging technologies such as AI or machine learning is an advantage.
