Job Description

As a Logistics Coordinator, you will be an integral part of our supply chain team, ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods from origin to destination. Your role involves planning, implementing, and tracking the logistics activities required to achieve company goals. This position demands attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to handle complex, multifaceted operations. You will liaise with carriers, suppliers, and clients to optimize supply chain processes, adhering to timelines and budget constraints. A successful candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving capabilities, effective communication skills, and a proactive approach to managing logistics operations.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage all logistics operations and processes efficiently and effectively.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with suppliers and transport companies.
  • Oversee inventory movements, ensuring all goods are tracked from origin to destination.
  • Respond promptly to client inquiries and resolve any logistics-related issues they face.
  • Monitor and update shipment records to ensure accurate and timely data entries.
  • Coordinate with production and sales teams to meet delivery deadlines efficiently.
  • Implement cost-saving strategies and optimize logistics processes to improve company profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards in logistics operations.
  • Conduct regular reviews of logistics operations to identify improvement areas and implement changes.
  • Prepare reports and analysis on logistics performance and present these to management.
  • Assist in developing logistics policies and procedures to streamline operations.
  • Lead and manage a team of logistics staff, ensuring high levels of performance and engagement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in logistics coordination or management roles.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and tools for effective management of supply chain processes.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and draw conclusions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with stakeholders.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities to tackle logistics challenges and find effective solutions.
  • High level of organization and attention to detail to manage multiple priorities concurrently.
