Job Description

The Key Account Manager (KAM) is a pivotal figure in strengthening and nurturing long-term relationships with key accounts, ensuring a mutual understanding of account needs and aligning them with the company's strategic goals. This role requires excellent communication and negotiation skills as the KAM serves as the primary point of contact for major clients. The KAM is tasked with identifying growth opportunities within these accounts and working closely with various departments to deliver exceptional service and products that meet or exceed client expectations. Understanding key account dynamics, spotting trends, and assessing risks are essential to maintain ongoing client satisfaction and loyalty. The KAM plays a critical role in driving sales growth, enhancing customer satisfaction, and contributing to the overall success of the organization.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key accounts to ensure long-term success.
  • Act as the primary liaison between key accounts and internal teams to facilitate seamless communication.
  • Identify new opportunities within key accounts to drive additional sales and revenue.
  • Conduct regular meetings with key accounts to review performance and address any areas of concern.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to implement strategies that align with key account goals.
  • Analyze account data to forecast needs, identify trends, and develop targeted action plans.
  • Resolve any issues or conflicts promptly to maintain strong client relationships and satisfaction.
  • Ensure consistent communication with key accounts through updates, meetings, and performance reviews.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to key accounts, highlighting the value and benefits of products or services.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to maximize profit and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Provide feedback to internal teams to improve product offerings and customer service.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, or a related field is required.
  • Proven track record of at least three years in key account management.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to manage diverse client relationships effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite is mandatory.
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events, as necessary.
