A Little More About Your Role…

You will provide leadership in creating, shaping and delivering a business strategy for the Earth & Environment service line within the Advisory Business Unit, that will ensure WSP’s industry leading position is both protected and grown.

Reporting to the Business Director (Head of Discipline), as a member of the Leadership Team, you will be responsible for the strategic growth and P&L delivery of the service line. You will lead your service line to greater success, you will be comfortable with autonomy and be accountable for having an effective overarching business strategy in place that will achieve future ready sustainable growth and maintain our top tier market position.

You will be great at collaboration and engagement because working as an integrated leadership team is critical to success. Your responsibilities will include the following;

• Develop and implement a Water and Energy Advisory strategy that will deliver business growth in line with agreed target levels and align our business to the existing, emerging and developing market opportunities within the water sector.
• Lead and manage a Water and Energy Advisory team, with a strong focus on people engagement.
• Leadership in Health, Safety and Wellbeing, with a commitment to a Zero Harm culture.
• Own the Water and Energy Advisory Service Line P&L and deliver to all key targets.
• Lead framework and project delivery - time, cost and quality.
• Provide coordination with other service lines and disciplines, to ensure sharing of best practice, innovation and project delivery skills.
• Ensure the team have the right competencies for their roles through the development and delivery of a training and development plan.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and actively seek and act upon client feedback to enhance the services we provide and differentiate WSP from the competition in the sectors we operate.
• Support strategic business unit level bids and lead tactical bids.

What We Would Like You To Demonstrate…

• Exhibit and demonstrate behaviours and attitudes in accordance with WSP core values through effective team working with open communication.
• Leadership experience in the Water & Energy sectors in professional services.
• Proven key client management skills – able to develop/maintain senior client relationships ensuring repeat business and continually improved client satisfaction.
• P&L management experience, with a detailed understanding of the mechanics of and levers to manage net revenue, operating margin, EBITDA and working capital.
• A reputation as a leader in your field, with experience of leading internationally in the provision of professional services.
• A passion for growth and the capability to foster growth in areas outside your core technical expertise.
• An ability to cross sell WSPs broader services and enhance our client interaction.
