Job Description

The Guest Relations Officer is a pivotal role within our hospitality team, responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience from the moment guests walk through the doors until they leave. This position requires a friendly and professional demeanor to anticipate guest needs and provide solutions with a positive attitude. You will be the first point of contact for our guests at all times and will play an essential role in ensuring their stay is fantastic. This role combines front desk reception duties with concierge services, requiring strong communication and problem-solving skills to manage guest queries, complaints, and recommendations efficiently. A Guest Relations Officer must exhibit excellent customer service skills and maintain a thorough understanding of the facility's services and offerings to provide guests with information that enhances their overall experience.


Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests warmly and ensure their check-in process is smooth and efficient.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to all guest inquiries and requests.
  • Manage and resolve guest complaints effectively, ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with other departments to fulfil guest requirements swiftly and accurately.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of hotel amenities and services offered to guests.
  • Maintain accurate guest records and update them as needed in the management system.
  • Facilitate reservations, tickets, and provide information on local attractions and services.
  • Assist in the organization of guest activities and special events within the hotel.
  • Ensure the lobby and front-of-house areas are clean and welcoming at all times.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction levels and suggest improvements to management for service quality.
  • Prepare reports on guest feedback and activities for review by management.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately for services rendered through the front desk.

Requirements

  • Proven customer service experience in a hospitality or service industry role.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle stressful situations calmly.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor with an ability to stand for long periods.
  • Proficient in using hotel management software and basic computer applications.
  • Flexible working hours and ability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in hospitality management is advantageous.
