ELV Draftsman – Job Description
Responsible for preparing detailed ELV (Extra Low Voltage) system drawings using AutoCAD in accordance with project specifications, approved shop drawings, and relevant standards. Experienced in preparing layouts and drawings for CCTV surveillance systems, access control systems, structured cabling, data and telephone systems, public address systems, intercom systems, IPTV, SMATV, and other low-current systems. Skilled in preparing shop drawings, as-built drawings, cable routing layouts, containment layouts, schematic diagrams, and coordination drawings. Capable of interpreting architectural, electrical, and MEP drawings, coordinating with other disciplines to avoid clashes, and incorporating site modifications as required. Familiar with ELV design requirements, equipment locations, cable tray routing, and coordination with engineers, BIM teams, and site personnel to ensure accurate drawings and smooth project execution.
