Job Description

The Front Desk Agent plays a critical role in creating a welcoming environment and ensuring a memorable stay for guests at our hotel. As the first point of contact, you will be responsible for greeting guests, checking them in and out, answering inquiries, and providing outstanding customer service at all times. We are specifically looking for a Front Desk Agent who is fluent in Chinese, as we cater to a diverse clientele and aim to offer the most comfortable experience for our Chinese-speaking guests. An ideal candidate is courteous, accommodating, and quick to resolve issues with a smile. They must also be capable of multitasking in a fast-paced setting, ensuring that all operations at the front desk run smoothly. Your role is pivotal in exemplifying our commitment to quality and guest satisfaction.


Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome guests promptly upon arrival with a friendly demeanor.
  • Check in and check out guests efficiently while maintaining hotel policies.
  • Provide information and assistance regarding hotel services and local attractions.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and resolve complaints in a timely manner.
  • Handle reservations and manage check-in/check-out software systems efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively with housekeeping and maintenance for guest needs.
  • Ensure the front desk area is clean and well-organized at all times.
  • Process payments and record transactions accurately in the system.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of guest information and transactions.
  • Assist in emergency protocols when necessary, ensuring guest safety is prioritized.
  • Upsell hotel amenities and services to enhance guest experience and revenue.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless guest service delivery.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional hospitality training is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a front desk or customer service role preferred.
  • Fluency in both English and Chinese, with excellent communication skills.
  • Proficient in using hotel management software and POS systems.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Friendly and approachable demeanor with a passion for customer service.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if required.
