Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Front Desk Agent with exceptional communication skills in Chinese to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for our guests and provide them with a warm and welcoming experience. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. The Front Desk Agent will be responsible for ensuring guest satisfaction by addressing their needs and resolving any issues that may arise during their stay. Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome guests with a friendly and professional attitude.
  • Perform check-in and check-out procedures efficiently and accurately.
  • Resolve guest inquiries and complaints in a timely and effective manner.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to meet guest needs promptly.
  • Maintain updated records of reservations, rooms, and payments processes.
  • Provide information about the hotel, local attractions, and available services.
  • Assist guests with booking tours, restaurant reservations, and car services.
  • Process and manage payments using the hotel's computer system promptly.
  • Ensure the front desk is organized, clean, and equipped with necessary supplies.
  • Handle incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate departments effectively.
  • Prepare reports at the end of the shift to relay important information to management.
  • Follow all safety and security guidelines to ensure the protection of guests and staff.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality degree is a plus.
  • Proficiency in both English and Chinese, both spoken and written.
  • Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role preferred.
  • Strong multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including conflict resolution.
  • Proficient with computers and familiarity with reservation software like Opera.
  • Flexible with working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
