Job Description

The Senior Design Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping the creative direction of an organization. Tasked with leading a team of talented designers, the Senior Design Manager ensures that all design projects align with the company's strategic goals and brand identity. They are responsible for overseeing the design process from conception through to execution, ensuring quality output that meets client expectations and market standards. This position requires a combination of creative vision, technical expertise, and leadership skills to steer projects to success. To excel as a Senior Design Manager, one must be adept in identifying current design trends, innovative solutions, and efficient workflows to optimize design operations within the company. Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a creative team to produce exceptional design works.
  • Oversee design projects from conception to delivery, ensuring quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate design solutions with business goals.
  • Develop and maintain the company’s design standards and brand identity guidelines.
  • Identify and implement design trends and innovative practices within projects.
  • Ensure alignment of design initiatives with client expectations and market demands.
  • Mentor and develop junior designers, fostering a creative and collaborative environment.
  • Manage budgets and timelines efficiently to meet project deliverables.
  • Facilitate and lead brainstorming sessions to drive creative solutions.
  • Conduct regular design reviews to ensure high-quality outputs and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and stakeholders for specialized design needs.
  • Analyze design feedback and data to refine project approaches and strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related field.
  • Minimum of seven years of experience in design, with at least three years in management.
  • Exceptional portfolio showcasing a strong sense of design and technical skills.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and drive a design team.
  • Strong understanding of current design trends and technologies in the industry.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in working with cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite and Sketch.
