The Financial Controller position is a key leadership role within the finance department, responsible for overseeing the organization's accounting and financial activities. This position requires a strategic thinker who can seamlessly manage financial operations, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and facilitate the achievement of the organization's financial objectives. As a Financial Controller, you will play a crucial part in steering the financial health of the company, optimizing financial processes, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation and presentation of financial statements in compliance with regulations.
• Develop and implement internal control policies and procedures to ensure financial integrity.
• Coordinate the annual budgeting process, including variance analysis and forecasting.
• Provide financial reports and interpret financial information to managerial staff.
• Manage all accounting operations, including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, and Counsel.
• Monitor cash flow, balance sheets, and income statements for financial accuracy.
• Lead financial audits and coordinate with external auditors for annual reviews.
• Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and identify tax savings opportunities.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Lead and manage the finance team, fostering professional development and performance excellence.
• Collaborate with upper management on strategic financial planning and investment opportunities.
• Oversee the management of insurance coverage, cost control, and procurement processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in a financial management role is required.
• Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Exceptional knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance, and information analysis.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills are essential.
• Proficient with accounting software, such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle Financials.
• High level of integrity and dependability, with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
