Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and highly organized Facilities Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will oversee and manage all aspects of our facilities, ensuring that they are safe, well-maintained, and fully functional. This role involves planning and coordinating all installations and refurbishments, managing the upkeep of equipment and supplies, and ensuring that facilities meet government regulations and environmental, health, and security standards. A successful Facilities Manager will enhance operational efficiency, ensure compliance with safety standards, and address any issues that may arise, leading a team to provide a first-class facility service. With a focus on sustainability, the Facilities Manager is pivotal in enhancing the workplace environment and maintaining the infrastructure for the organization's operations.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage all facility maintenance and repair activities efficiently.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans to reduce equipment failures.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of external contractors and service providers.
  • Ensure all facilities meet health, safety, and environmental standards continuously.
  • Oversee the purchase and maintenance of equipment, inventory, and supplies.
  • Prepare and manage the facility budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Plan and coordinate installations, refurbishments, and facility improvement projects.
  • Monitor facility operations to ensure security, accessibility, and compliance with laws.
  • Manage and maintain records related to facility operations, contracts, and services.
  • Conduct regular facility inspections to identify and address maintenance needs.
  • Implement energy-saving initiatives to minimize the ecological footprint of facilities.
  • Lead emergency protocols and coordinate responses for facility-related emergencies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • A minimum of five years’ experience in a facilities management role is mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of business operations, building maintenance, and safety protocols.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in facility management software, tools, and technological applications.
  • Ability to lead and supervise a team effectively to achieve operational goals.
  • Comprehensive understanding of facility operations including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
